Lady Gaga recently became the first person on Twitter to garner more than 25 million followers, setting a social media record.
Next up is littlemonsters.com, a network for her fans to share and create content, interact and show if they like each other’s posts, according to social media monitor Mashable.
“She built her initial career through engaging with fans directly in social media channels . . . She is genuine, tweets herself, gives fans a real insight into her life,” says digital agency VML Australia social media planner Tiphereth Gloria.
“She’s also done every move incredibly strategically – there is a lot of thought put into her brand and it almost can’t be separated from her social profile [to demonstrate how powerful her use of social is].”
